Hey there fellow entrepreneur!

Have you tried AI in the past and the output wasn’t quite what you thought it would be? Perhaps you spent more time playing around with trying to generate output that was useful to you than it would’ve for you to just create it on your own.

I’ve totally done that in the past! Back in early 2022, I attempted to use Jasper.ai to create some content for my weekly newsletter … and let me tell you it was a disaster and I got so frustrated that I swore off AI tools (especially since I was paying for the output I couldn’t use)!

But the problem may not have been Jasper.ai (maybe it was … I haven’t used that tool since to know for sure) the problem may have been that I didn’t know how to use the tool. I wasn’t clear on what prompts to use to generate text and I didn’t take the time to train it on my tone of voice making the output completely useless to my brand.

In 2023 I decided to give AI another go, this time with ChatGPT (which at the time of writing is free so I felt more comfortable playing with the tool and less pressured to have usable output). Through my playing, I learned some tricks for training the tool to match my brand tone and voice. And now I use ChatGPT all-the-time to help me manage my business and stay consistent in my marketing.

Understand your brand's tone and voice.
