Hi I'm Kristen Westcott!

Hello and Welcome! I’m Kristen.

I help overwhelmed and anxious entrepreneurs to feel calm and in control of their businesses by creating sustainable business strategies that support their mental wellness, enable them to thrive, and eliminate excess stress!

Ready to turn your anxiety into your superpower?

Running a business can be hard…

Running a business when you’re an anxious person, have a tendency to overthink, are easily overstimulated, or are dealing with anxiety or depression can be even harder…

But it’s not impossible!

In fact, it’s very doable and you can absolutely thrive in business even if you’re a highly sensitive person who struggles with mental wellness.  But you have to take the time to figure out the methods, strategies, and processes that work for you.

The problem with entering the online space when you’re a highly sensitive person is the immediate pressure you can feel to have to do things in a certain way.

And with so much information out there, it’s incredibly easy to get stuck,  which results in everything coming to a halt or, getting burnt out as you end up trying to do it all!

I know how draining being in this position can be, because I’ve been there…

I’ve spent years in the online business world without finding a space that understood the additional challenges of building a business with anxiety, so I’ve created one!

In this section of the online world, we are conscious of what we say and how we do things, we build sustainable businesses that work in the ways we need them to and we certainly don’t do things or use certain strategies because that's what ‘should’ be done.

It’s nice to meet you, I’m Kristen!

I’m an empathetic online business strategist who helps highly sensitive female service providers to sustainably and strategically build their businesses in ways that work for them, so they can build a life and business that reduces anxiety, improves their mental wellness, and eliminates the overwhelm.

I’m here to help you go from feeling overwhelmed and out of control to calm and in control.

Time for Fun Kristen Westcott

After working in the legal and education fields for over a decade where I supported leaders and students with goal setting, productivity, and project management, I gave birth to my second daughter.

This led to the return of my postpartum depression and the increase in the daily anxiety I felt. On the recommendation of my therapist, I started to look for a hobby…something outside of work and my children that I could do for myself and this is when I found life coaching.

Not wanting to do anything halfheartedly, I gained my Health & Life Coach Credentials from the Health Coach Institute while I worked, which gave me a new level of freedom and enabled me to leave my job in the education sector.

I knew this was the first step in achieving a healthier level of work-life balance that didn’t constantly trigger my anxiety and depression.

However, soon after leaving, I realized I had no clue about how to run my own business!

So I did what I do best and got researching (being a learner is one of my top 5 strengths!). I enrolled in a multitude of courses and became part of many different Facebook groups. Soon, I started helping other women in these groups with the skills and knowledge I had learned from other courses and groups I had been a part of.

That’s when I had my epiphany moment and discovered I had a lot of skills that could really help people!

So I leaned into it and got certified as a Director Of Operations as I felt this was truly in  alignment with the strategic support I wanted to provide.

After a few years of working as a coach and growing my copywriting business (I did say I’m a learner), I noticed something was missing from the online space,  so I set out to fill that gap…

Creating a supportive space for highly sensitive entrepreneurs

As an online entrepreneur myself, I have experienced FOMO, overwhelm, failed launches and so much more, and I believe a large part of this was due to the type of messaging that is constantly thrown at us when we enter the online space.

When I first started my business, I felt like there were so many ways to do things yet I had no idea which one would be right for me…

This overwhelm I was feeling whilst also trying to juggle homeschooling 2 kids during the pandemic (no easy feat in itself)  meant I was making a lot of decisions based on my anxiety.

Many marketing and sales strategies out there are based on triggering responses in people and this is something I don’t feel comfortable about. I don’t like implementing these types of strategies or being subjected to them.

If you’re a highly sensitive person like me, perhaps you feel this way too.

In addition to this type of overwhelming and anxiety-inducing messaging, I started to see the rise in leveraged programs such as group and mastermind courses.

Although these can be great, it’s easy to get lost in these programs.  I often felt like I was drowning in these groups and like I couldn’t really talk about what was happening or my experience.

This wasn’t always a result of the way the group was structured but instead was because of my anxious thoughts and the overwhelm I would face.

I know I’m not alone in feeling like this!

This is why I started a new way of learning.

I want to offer support to others who may be facing the same things as I did.

So now I provide a high level of support to help highly sensitive, empathic and easily overwhelmed people (like me!) move through whatever is blocking them from building the business they want to have.  I want to offer an alternative for the people who do better with 1:1.

I strive to create a safe space to help end the stigma that still exists around mental health and business and provide high-level support where people feel seen, heard and understood by someone who has been there and can empathize with them.

Finding your FLOW

The core of my business

Values are an extremely important part of how I structure and make decisions regarding my business. Some of my core values include:

Family First

We’re all raised to be productive members of society and bring home money but at the end of the day, your health and family are the most important things.

Because of this, when we work together, your family and your health will always come first- you never have to worry or be nervous about that!

Compassion and Empathy

Having compassion and empathy is a crucial part of my work. A lot of mental wellness challenges people face aren’t visible and I know firsthand how you never know what challenges people might be facing so I always have that in mind with every interaction I have.

Commitment

When we are anxious or overthinking, we have a tendency to stop midway through a task but it’s important to see things through to the end for your own satisfaction when you can! I will always try to help you take ownership of the tasks you commit to and figure out ways for you to meet that commitment.

Freedom

To me, freedom from business is about more than just time, financial, or location freedom.

It’s about freedom of self-expression, freedom to not follow what everyone else is doing online, and freedom to go against the ‘normal’.  When we work together we’ll find what freedom looks like for YOU.

Respect

I’ve worked in environments led by a top-down approach and I’m not a fan! I will always treat everyone with the same level of respect, listen openly, and never come from a closed-minded or judgemental perspective. I’m someone who is very willing to learn and although I’m your coach, we are equals.

Serving Others

The person is more important than the money.

I want to serve my clients' needs more than I want to ‘close the sale’. For me, this means I work with people in ways that work best for them and I don’t do high-pressure sales tactics…it’s not my style!

Honesty/Integrity

This is all about being in integrity with your core values and acting in occurrence with them.

I uphold my values and everything I do in my business is aligned with that even when it's challenging- like sharing my own experiences with depression and anxiety. I make a point
not to hide and be truthful
even when it’s hard.

Inclusiveness

This is all about being in integrity with your core values and acting in occurrence with them.

I will always be inclusive and respectful of every person. I seek to lead with empathy and understanding and am committed to educating myself as much as possible when it comes to different perspectives.

Now for a bit of fun
